Having looked at reports from different areas of Namibia, divorce rates is at it’s peak and mostly on newly weds. It is believed that the reason behind is the fashion of marriage that all should get married just because everyone is getting married, not necessarary that they want to get married. But I am made to think that the main course of divorce or contributing factors are interlinked and quite alot as one could be pre marital counselling done few months to the wedding when the mind is focused and concerned about the party mostly which makes it useless at times as the mind is too busy. However, many factors may not be heard as our culture never taught us communication and exppressions inorder to seek help in matters contributing to that and one could be sexuality. A women is an emotional being and need to connect emotionally when sexually involved while a man is just about a physical act of sex and emotions may not be in play. plus Men enjoy sex for longer periods which can differ from person to person while women varies as it’s mostly according to the drive. And also, I’ts more likely that Men and women don’t desire SEX on the same days and this could cause conflicts How does compromising then comes in? How do we then help both sexes in this situation? How do we tell our ladies that men wanting sex everyday doesn’t mean they view us as objects? And how do we then solve this without divorce? I know we don’t talk about sex in our culture but I am of the believe that talking about can help us alot.
